Corsica is a ramblers' paradise with a network of footpaths ranging from gentle woodland walks and invigorating coastal paths to more challenging hikes across the mountainous interior, including the famous GR20 long-distance trail and a network of ancient transhumance routes which are tracks that shepherds use to take their flocks of milking sheep up into the mountains for summer grazing, and back down to the valleys to over winter.
