In the charming village of Olmi Cappella, at the heart of the Guissani, Apartment
les Tilleuls is a large self contained apartment in an old village house which has been sympathetically renovated
with style and taste. The friendly owners have skillfully combined all the modern conveniences one would expect
which the character and charm that is sure to appeal to anyone wanting to experience real village life in this
beautiful region.
Entrance to the apartment is via the courtyard, and opens onto the comfortable living
room with sofabed to provide flexible sleeping for friends or perhaps a small family, and a well equipped kitchen
corner. A DVD player with a wide range of films in English and French has also been provided by the thoughful owners.
From this main room, a few steps lead up to superb shower room with elegant Italian style shower and toilet, and
then on to the bedroom which has been built onto a platform underneath the impressive vaulted ceiling - a real
feature in itself!
Outside, there is a courtyard with a table and chairs, which is ideal for coffee
and croissants on warm sunny mornings, and for eating al fresco in the evenings if you don't want to venture out
to one of the restaurants in the village. There are also loungers where you can make the most of the peace and
quiet whilst you relax in the sun, and a barbecue. Just opposite, across a very quiet village road, is the garden
which is shared with Maison les Tilleuls. Arranged with garden furniture and loungers, here you can relax and unwind
or enjoy the dappled shade offered by the trees.
Originally two villages - Olmi and Cappella - that have gradually grown together
over the years, Olmi Cappella is the perfect spot for those who want to explore and enjoy the best that Corsica
has to offer. There is a good restaurant within walking distance which can also offers a meal delivery service
brought to your door! There is a village shop that is open every day where you can buy all the essentials including
bread as well as a mobile butcher that calls Tuesdays and Fridays, and a fruit and veg van that calls during the
week.
The Guissani is an area rich in history and covered in chestnut trees and cork oaks.
The surrounding mountains offer opportunities for walking and bathing in rock pools whilst the nearest beach is
only 30-40 minutes drive away. The bustling seaside resorts of Calvi and Ile Rousse are less than an hour by car
and the historic centre of Corte and beautiful waterfalls of the Vizzavona forest are also within easy reach.
Linen is included in the price of the rental as well as a welcome gift
of local produce such as wine, cheese and charcuterie which the owners offer to all guests.

'Just a note to let you know that we had a wonderful week in
Olmi Cappella. The little apartment was beautifully done up (and the owners could not have been more helpful) and
the village was a perfect, unspoilt corner. The flights were trouble-free which is always a bonus at this time
of year. So, many thanks for the efficient and helpful service.'
'Pleasant garden to sit out in. Helpful caretakers. Able to buy
bread and all other necessities at the village shop. There was a village music festival on the second week of our
stay and the villagers came around to invite us for what what a very pleasant evening. Lovely to arrive to a welcome
gift of wine and bread that had been bought from the shop prior to our arrival. Great walking locally- we spent
c. 6 days just following the marked footpaths between the local villages. Very handy having a dishwasher. It would
be helpful to have a folder of information in the apartment for visitors. A change of towels for the second week
would have been nice- instead we had to buy washing powder at the supermarket.'
'Just got back from our holiday in Corsica and would like to
thank you for booking and sorting everything out for us. The accommodation was very good, only comment would be
that it would have been better if there was some comfortable chairs to sit out on. We met the owners mother and
although she couldn’t speak English and us only little French we got on very well. The people were very friendly,
the food and wine good and the weather was fantastic. Thanks again for all you did it took a lot of hassle out
of the holiday for us. Would certainly recommend you to other people.'
