On a sunny, south-facing hillside above one of the most picturesque corners
of the Valinco Gulf stands Les Terrasses des Oliviers, a small residence of just 9 apartments sharing a large pool
(12.5m x 6.5m). Quietly situated in a just over an acre of land, the apartments are arranged in two terraces, one
above the other so that each can benefit from the superb panoramic views over the bay and the port of Propriano.
Entry is via a walkway at the rear of the apartments, and the door opens onto the spacious open plan living room
with divan arranged as a daybed, with a further roll out single bed below to allow for more flexible sleeping or
a sixth occupant. There is a simple kitchen corner with a full cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and cafetiere.
The residence also benefits from two laundry rooms; one for each terrace of apartments, where there are communal
washing machines, irons and ironing boards for the use of guests. There is also a dining table and chairs should
you wish to eat indoors. Ideal for families, each apartment has two bedrooms, a double and a twin, a shower room
and a separate toilet..
We offer three apartments on the lower row. These apartments have slightly larger terraces than those on the upper
row and are nearer to the pool. Apartment 5 is at the far end of the row at the opposite end to the pool. This
apartment has a smaller terrace but is slightly more private as it is semi-detached. Apartments 6 and 7 are in
the middle of a row of 4. The layout of these apartments are identical mirror images and terraces are slightly
larger but there are neighbours both sides.
Sliding patio doors from the main living room lead to the large partly shaded terrace surrounded by fragrant oleander
bushes. Here there is a built-in brick barbecue and a table and chairs where you can eat al fresco and admire the
views, which are particularly pretty in the evenings when the lights of the port opposite twinkle like stars. The
apartments all face the same way and the views are equally good.
The mature landscaping lends an air of peace and tranquillity, and the large pool is the perfect place to relax
and unwind under the dappled shade, or make the most of the mediterranean sunshine.
The coastline here is interspersed with beautiful and sometimes secluded sandy coves. However, some of the most
picturesque beaches in Corsica are just a short distance away; golden sand, clear blue water and awe-inspiring
granite rocks jutting out of the sea. Huge granite boulders act as natural dividers, and children will love catching
the little fish that make their home in the resulting rock pools, whilst adults will appreciate the intimate feel
to the little creeks and coves.

'Thank you for your help in organising our holiday. Everything
went very smoothly and we had a lovely time. The accommodation was simple, practical and very clean and the view
of Propriano from our terrace was stunning - by day and in the evening with the lights shining across the water.
A lovely peaceful location and within a short drive of wonderful beaches for sunbathing and snorkelling, mountain
villages and shops for everyday necessities. This was our third visit to Corsica and we are never disappointed!'
The location was exceptional in terms of accessability to beautiful
beaches, Ajaccio, Propriano, Bonifaccio, the mountains and historical centres. The position over the bay was undersold
on the website, the view from the terrace was beautiful and we enjoyed just being at the appartment both during
the evening and day. As the views from the terrace are so good we found ourselves eating in more than usual on
a holiday but the kitchen equipment was quite scarce. The pool area was great and very quiet whilst we were there
we quite often had the pool to ourselves.'
