On a sunny hillside just a few minutes from the little town of Propriano,
Villa Silva is an attractive house, suitable for couples and families alike, that occupies a sheltered spot tucked
away just a few metres from one of the swimming pools in this well maintained development.
The main entrance to this villa is via the terrace at the back of the house. The door opens onto the hallway leading
to the kitchen, which also has a door leading to a second smaller terrace at the side of the property. To the right
of the hallway is the living room with fireplace feature which has been furnished with a sofabed and table and
chairs. Large french windows lead to the spacious terrace where there is a wooden table and chairs where guests
tell us they like to spend most of their time, and there is also a barbecue so that you can even cook alfresco.
A few internal steps lead down to the lower level where there are two bedrooms, each with double bed and television.
The master bedroom stays fresh and cool even during the heat of the summer, and looks out over the grounds to the
side. The second bedroom has a window looking out over the grounds and a door to the small terrace at the side
which can also be accessed via the kitchen. There is a bathroom with bath and shower attachment over, and a separate
toilet.
Les Hameaux de Propriano is an attractive collection of houses and apartments, scattered throughout an area of
more than 24 hectares, and surrounded with flowers and shrubs. Occupying an envious position above the town and
the port, there are four swimming pools - one just a few metres from the house (staggered opening between June
to September), and a tennis court for the use of residents and their guests.
The main town of Propriano is just a short 15 minute walk away so there is no need to worry about taking the car
if you want to enjoy a glass or two of the excellent local wines with dinner. For those who prefer the beach, the
Gulf of Valinco is perhaps the most beautiful gulf on the west coast of the island. Around the bay to the south
is Campomoro, a charming unspoilt village with a recently restored Genoese tower and a lovely sandy beach. To the
north of the bay we find Cappiciolo - perhaps one of the best spots on the Gulf with it's picturesque coves of
golden sand fringed by rocks. Propriano, the principal town of the region, has an attractive, lively port with
many good restaurants which make it a popular choice for visitors.
