Sitting above the beautiful old granite village of Olmeto, Apartment Sapara is a spacious and contemporary two bedroom apartment with a virtually private pool, just a few minutes from the shops and restaurants of the village, and within easy reach of the superb sandy beaches of the Valinco Gulf.

Access is via the terrace which runs the length of the apartment. The front door opens onto the spacious open plan living and dining room which has been comfortably furnished with two leather sofas, a dining table and chairs and a television should you ever tire of the views. The kitchen has been well equipped with a full oven, gas hob, microwave and a family sized fridge as well as the usual equipment one would expect such as a dishwasher and cafetiere.

Ideal for a family or couples alike as there are two separate bedrooms; one with a double bed and lovely views over the village, and the second with twin beds and views over the surrounding countryside. There is a family bathroom with bath and shower attachment over, bidet and toilet, and a separate laundry room with washing machine and laundry storage area.

Outside, a gate from the terrace at the front of the apartment leads to the main terrace and pool area. Although the owners live above, they rarely use the pool so it is virtually private for the apartment. There is a large attractive terrace area with wooden wheel decorations and loungers where guests can relax and soak up the sun after a refreshing dip in the pool. The owners have also provided a table and chairs where you can eat alfresco if you don't want to venture into the village.

There is a choice of restaurants in the village such as La Source and Chez Mimi. Marie Buresi, or 'Mimi' as she is affectionately known throughout the region, presides over the kitchen and offers an unequalled range of delicious local specialities and traditional dishes. Of course, no meal in Corsica would be complete without trying some of the excellent wine and the reds of the Sartenais are particularly good.

For those who like to explore, there is plenty to see and do in the area, from the hot springs at Baracci to the awe-inspiring menhirs at Filitosa. The trail of old craft traditions at Olmeto and the 'Route des Sens Authentiques' will take you on a journey to explore pipe, knife and ceramic factories as well as specialities of local produce. However, the beaches of Olmeto Plage are some of the best in the region and there are lots of secluded coves and picturesque beaches stretching north of the bay towards Cappiciolo, and south towards Campomoro.
