In view of the small, but serious interest we are getting in property for sale in
Corsica we have decided to offer a property finding service, using our contacts, connections and in depth experience
of the island. This is how it works;
STAGE 1
You will probably want to visit Corsica first of all, to have a look round and
get a feel for the island. It is a good idea at this stage to meet up with a member of the directCorsica team on
the island to discuss the sort of property you are looking for and what you hope to achieve from your purchase.
This can include whether you want to buy specifically to let, or buy to enjoy and let out a few weeks to help with
the running costs, things to look out for when purchasing a properties and the pros and cons of various areas.
A face to face consultation can be arranged for a fee of £100 for half a day (morning or afternoon).
STAGE 2
We make a charge of £200 + VAT to register for our Property Finding Service (this amount is reduced to £150
+ vat if you have already had a face to face consultation). You fill in a detailed questionnaire online on our
website to give us a profile of the kind of property you are looking for. We will then actively search for property
to match your profile using our contacts and connections in Corsica. At the end of 3 months if we have found nothing
that matches the profile you sent us, you will have option to receive a refund of the registration fee, less 10%
admin fee, or leave us to carry on trying.
STAGE 3
Once you have received a portfolio of properties from us, you have the option of appointing us to visit properties,
inspect, take additional photos and report to you on them (this is not a structural survey - merely an experienced
layman's eye!). Fee for this will depend on number/location of properties but will not be less than £50 plus
vat.
You also have the option to receive advice on our letting system, the potential for letting and a rough idea of
income for individual properties - fee to be discussed and dependent on whether this is property you have found
independently, or one that we have found for you.
STAGE 4
We will set up appointments for you to visit to properties. If you wish a bilingual member of the directCorsica
team will accompany you on these visits. The fee will be dependant on the number/location of properties.
We can arrange accommodation for you during your visit if requested. (No booking fee charged)
STAGE 5
Once you have chosen a property, we will negotiate with agent/owner on your behalf, put you in touch with UK solicitors
specialising in French property purchases if you wish, put you in touch with a UK based French bank mortgage consultant
if you wish, and continue to provide help and advice up to the point of completion.
