One of a small group of single storey terraced apartments known as Les Balcons du
Valinco, Chez Patrick enjoys a sunny position with glorious uninterrupted views over the beach and the gulf of
Valinco to Propriano at the other side of the bay.
Comprising just 16 apartments, the residence has been arranged in two rows, one above the other. The mature landscaping
lends an air of peace and tranquillity, and the large pool is the perfect complement.
Considered a superior apartment, Chez Patrick offers a good sized terrace - the perfect place to relax and enjoy
the sunshine, or eat alfresco. The main entrance to the house is via a pretty walkway, and the main door opens
onto a hallway leading to the bright, spacious living/dining room and open plan kitchen corner with cooker, fridge-freezer,
cafétiere and dishwasher. Sliding patio doors from the main room give onto the large terrace.
There are two bedrooms, one double bedroom and a second bedroom with twin beds that makes Chez Patrick ideal for
a family. A sofabed in the living room allows for more flexible sleeping arrangements or up to 6 guests. There
is also a shower room and separate toilet. There is a flight of stairs between the parking area above the apartment,
and another down to the pool below so Chez Patrick is not particularly
suited to the elderly or anyone with walking difficulties.
Cappiciolo is actually a collection of south facing beaches and little coves, so you can normally still find a
warm spot to sunbathe, even early and late in the season. This particular stretch of beach is a firm favourite
- not only are the colours absolutely amazing, but you can nearly always find a nice stretch all to yourself. The
coastline here is interspersed with beautiful and sometimes secluded sandy coves, and some of the most picturesque
beaches in Corsica are just a short distance away; golden sand, clear blue water and awe-inspiring granite rocks
jutting out of the sea.
The main town of Propriano is a short drive away and there you will find a many good restaurants lining the port
interspersed with little boutiques and souvenir shops. The mountains of Bavella are worth a visit, especially if
you are a keen photogragher, and as you pass through the pretty mountain villages, it is worth stopping to try
some of the local produce. There are also a range of boat and coach excursions that leave from the town, so there
really is something for everyone!
