Sitting in a large mature grounds, Apartment Nicole is a comfortable
apartment with a pretty garden and swimming pool in a quiet residential area. Decorated throughout in the style
of French countryside houses, Apartment Nicole offers the quiet ambiance of the countryside, whilst still within
easy reach of the warm turquoise blue waters and golden yellow sand of Calvi bay, and the cool fresh greens of
the forêt de Bonifato - perfect for exploring the intriguing Balagne region, or simply getting away from
it all.
The door opens onto the open plan living/dining room with beamed ceiling which comprises a comfortable sofabed
and armchairs, television and dining area with table and chairs. The French style kitchen area has been well equipped
with an oven, microwave, fridge-freezer as well as a cafetiere and toaster. A washing machine, dishwasher and fan
have also been provided for the added comfort of guests. Stairs from the main room lead up to the mezzanine which
offers two single beds, and there is a separate double bedroom which is light and airy with a chest of drawers
and a large wall cupboard. There is also a modern shower room with shower, wash basin and toilet. Apartment Nicole
is situated on the ground floor of the owners villa, but has a completely separate entrance and private terrace.
There is air conditioning, and heating is also available for those who may like to visit outside of the main season.
Outside, there is a spacious terrace overlooking the garden where you can eat al fresco and enjoy the peaceful
ambiance, and a brick built barbecue so you can even cook outside! The large mature garden covers an area of 1800m2
so there is plenty of room for children to run and play, whilst the adults find themselves a quiet corner or relax
in the garden. There is a large pool with roman steps at one end so children can sit and play without getting out
of their depth. The property has been completely enclosed for the safety of children and access is via electric
gates.
Of course one of the main attractions of this area is the glorious sandy beach at Calvi which are very shallow
and ideal for children. Just a short drive away, you can enjoy all the benefits of a lively seaside town; colourful
bars and restaurants lining the port and tucked away amongst the narrow cobbled streets, a vast shallow sandy beach
with a whole rage of watersports, the dramatic 15th century Genoese Citadel, and even a little train that runs
along the coast. Just 10km in the other direction, the forêt de Bonifato is the perfect place to escape the
hubbub if you fancy a change of scene, and in the heat of the summer, a picnic on the rocks followed by a refreshing
dip in the river can be just the thing!
Please note that the pool is only guaranteed to be clean and open
from mid May until mid September, although in reality it is often open earlier/later depending on the weather and
other factors.
