Set within 24 hectares of enclosed landscaped gardens, Les Hameaux de
Propriano is a well maintained community on a quiet, sunny hillside within walking distance of the bustling little
town of Propriano, and some of the superb sandy beaches of the Valinco Gulf.
With an interrupted view of the sea and port below, the Villa des Hauteurs is an impressive villa comprising 5
bedrooms over two levels with further scope to extend. Built by one of the original proprietors of the domain,
the house is ideally situated at the end of a quiet access lane which serves just this house and one other. Access
to the domain is controlled by electric gates and additionally the grounds of the Villa des Hauteurs have their
own coded gates and videophone entry system - the only house to offer additional privacy of this type.
Overall, the private grounds of the house comprise 2000m2 and the living space is currently 350m2 with the possibility
to expand further if required and create a 70m2 apartment. There are five bedrooms, three shower rooms, one bathroom,
a double sized living room, large well equipped kitchen, a summer kitchen and numerous terraces. Outside there
is a garden laid to lawn as well as numerous terraces where you can catch the sun whatever it's position, and a
six person Jacuzzi.
Les Hameaux de Propriano boasts a tennis court for the use of guests (bring your own equipment), and four swimming
pools which are rarely busy as many guests prefer the collection of picturesque sandy beaches and intimate coves
surrounding the bay. Generally speaking, the pools are guaranteed to be clean and open from 1 June until 30 September
but in practice they are often open earlier and later depending on the weather and the number of people in residence.
The main town of Propriano is just 15-20 minute stroll away and there you will find a many good restaurants lining
the port interspersed with little boutiques and souvenir shops. From the villa, you can walk to the shallow sandy
beach by the lighthouse where there is a beach bar open during the season, and often a game of beach volleyball
or football. The Chemin des Plages offers access to quieter coves as well as several broad sweeps of sand and this
is just a short drive away or longer walk.

The coastline here is interspersed with beautiful and sometimes secluded sandy coves. However, some of the most
picturesque beaches in Corsica are just a short distance away; golden sand, clear blue water and awe-inspiring
granite rocks jutting out of the sea. Huge granite boulders act as natural dividers, and children will love catching
the little fish that make their home in the resulting rock pools, whilst adults will appreciate the intimate feel
to the little creeks and coves.
If you're looking for adventure, the Valinco Gulf is the ideal place
to indulge in all sorts of outdoor activities such as walking, horse-riding, tennis, and climbing as well as all
the usual watersports; diving, sailing windsurfing and jet-ski. For those who enjoy gentler pursuits, why not go
bathing in river rock pools or relax in the hot springs of Caldane or Baracci.
The mountains of Bavella are worth a visit, especially if you are a keen photogragher, and as you pass through
the pretty mountain villages, it is worth stopping to try some of the local produce. For those who prefer not to
drive, there are also a range of boat and coach excursions that leave from the town, so there really is something
for everyone!
