On the hillside above the town of Propriano, Residence Marie-Diane is
a small, family run residence of 20 maisonettes set in mature landscaped grounds.
Scattered throughout the residence are twenty apartments and maisonettes,
thoughtfully furnished and equipped, with nice views, some over fields to the sea.
The friendly owners will do their best to help you get the most from
your holiday in Corsica, so besides all the usual holiday home equipment you will find parasols and isothermal
picnic boxes to take out with you. There is also a collection of guide books, maps and information at your disposal.
The gardens and pool area are bursting with colourful flowers all through the summer, and you can help yourself
to cooking herbs. For youngsters there are swings and table tennis.
Each of the properties has a dishwasher, colour television, safe and
barbecue. Some of the houses have washing machines and there is a communal machine for those that don't.
The main town of Propriano is just a short stroll away (although it is
uphill on the way back!), and there you will find a good many restaurants and lots of interesting boutiques. You
can walk to several good beaches from the residence or you may try further afield, whichever way you wont be disappointed.
In the area you can also enjoy all the usual water sports, bathe in river rock pools or relax in the hot springs
of Baracci, play tennis, go walking, horse-riding, diving, climbing, or take a train or boat trip. The more adventurous
can try a tandem u.l.m., canyoning, parachuting, climbing or jetskiing.
The owners are English speaking and are more than happy to share any
information about local sporting or cultural activities with you.
There are several different types of apartment here;
Terraced houses -
1 bedroom, sleeps 2-4 people. These little houses occupy different positions, some overlooking the pool and others
in more secluded position with views across fields towards the sea. There is a beamed living/dining room and shower
room on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a spacious (without a door) bedroom with a double and single bed. The
fourth bed is a comfortable meridienne style single sofabed in the living area. These houses have free use of the
communal washing machine on site (just supply your own powder). There is one house with three single beds upstairs
instead of a double and single - please be sure to tell us at the time of booking if this is the house you want.

Maisonettes -
1 bedroom, sleeps 2-4 people. All on one level on the ground floor of the main villa. Both houses have a beamed
living/dining room and door which leads off this room to an ante room with a single bed and cupboard space. There
is a very comfortable double sofabed in the living area offering flexible sleeping arrangement. From the ante room
a door leads to the shower room and a further door leads onto the double bedroom. These houses have washing machines.

Chez Suzy
- 1 bedroom, sleeps 2-4 people. Larger and more comfortable than the other maisonettes, Chez Suzy was originally
the owner's house and enjoys a quiet position overlooking the pool. The spacious main living area comprises a comfortable
sofabed, television and DVD player, and large oak dining table with doors to the bougainvillea covered terrace
where there is a table and chairs for eating al fresco. The vines and flowers covering the terrace afford both
privacy and dappled shade should you wish to escape the heat of the sun, and the terrace itself can be locked for
the safety of small children. An archway from the main room leads to a compact but fully fitted and well equipped
kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Stairs lead to a bedroom (without a door) where there is a double
bed with zip-lock mattress that can be converted into twin beds and a separate bathroom with a bath. For more photos, click HERE.
LES LENTISQUES - 3 bedrooms, sleeps 4-8 people. With private gardens in front and behind, the
new house covers an area of approximately 80m2 and offers good quality, spacious accommodation for a larger family
or perhaps two couples who want to holiday together. For full details and pictures of this attractive house within

In all the apartments you will find an oven, electric kettle, filter
coffee pot, toaster, vacuum cleaner, cool box, beach parasol and synthetic pillows.
Winter Holidays
- The Terraced Houses and Maisonettes F & G have convector heaters, and Chez Suzy and Les Lentisques have gas
fired central heating making these properties an ideal choice for winter holidays or even longer lets (special
prices are available), so please ask for details.
Please note that the pool is only guaranteed to be clean and open
from 5 May until 27 October, although in reality it is often open earlier/later depending on the number of guests
and the weather.
Linen and cleaning is included in the price of the rental.

was of the highest standard in all aspects. Firstly, the communication with yourselves and then Susy Quilichini
was excellent and gave us an accurate impresssion of what to expect. On arrival the apartment we were presented
with was fully equipment but more to the point immaculately clean. The close proximity to the pool was excellent
for our five year old action boy, whose swimming improved dramatically when we were there. We were pleasantly surprised
at how quite the whole place was being so close to the town. We found the walk in an evening very pleasant into
town and very stretching on the return! All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would not hesistate to recommend
the residence to any family.'
Just to thank you for a lovely stay at the Marie-Diane. We thoroughly
enjoyed ourselves. The location of the complex was spot on, being both within walking distance of the town and
of some excellent local amenities such as the tennis courts and the running track. Our maisonette was simple but
comfortable and had all we needed for our stay in terms of equipment and the surrounding garden was very pretty.
It was ideal for our family being so close to the swimming pool so I could get lunch ready and watch the kids swimming
at the same time. The views were charming and we loved the evenings sitting outside, listening to the crickets
and watching the gecko’s catch their dinner! We adored Corsica and hope to come again soon and we’d certainly like
to stay at the Marie Diane again.'

to a high standard with more than enough utensils for cooking our own meals in. The location of the Marie-Diane
allowed for peaceful nights and a geneeral quiet throughout our stay. It's the first time I've felt 'inner-peace'
and that was no doubt due to the steady pace of Propriano, it's seductress scenery and the lovely sunshine. Suzy
was fantastic with her local knowledge, recommendations and was always willing to assist. The running track next
door was free to use and the locals did not bother me except for saying "Bonjour"! A big thank you to
