Apartment Lazzarini - 2 bedrooms, sleeps 5 people
Character property, balcony, TV, central location, beach nearby, heating

Situated on the first floor of a typical Corsican building, Apartment Lazzarini is a lovely apartment at the heart of this bustling, attractive waterfront town and just a few minutes walk from the beach.

Apartment Lazarini has been comfortably furnished in a traditional style. The kitchen is very well equipped with full oven and hob, American style fridge-freezer, microwave and all the usual extras one would expect such as a cafetiere. There is a dining table and chairs and French windows looking out to the back of the apartment. The small hall area features a beautiful, ornate Armoire, and leads onto the two bedrooms, each with double bed and access onto the rear balcony where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the town. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, toilet and bidet, and there is also a washing machine.

The large living room with its fireplace feature is adorned with beautiful carved wood furniture. French doors lead to the balcony at the front of the apartment which looks out over the street below. This room has a further dining table and comfortable seating, as well as a concealed folding bed which allows for either a fifth person, or more flexible sleeping arrangements. There is even a television (with French Satellite channels), should you tire of the many distractions Saint Florent has to offer.

For those who prefer to visit Corsica in early or late season, there is also heating.

There are a number of beaches in the area - the nearest just 6 minutes away on foot. The sheltered bay stretches from the port to a sandy beach opposite where you get the best views of the town and Citadel beyond. There are plenty of sports and activities on offer in the area, and boats trips from the marina will take you to Loto, and the fabulous Saleccia beaches, renowned for its beauty.

Saint Florent is often known as the Corsican Saint Tropez. The town itself centres around the 15th Century Genoese Citadel that today plays host to events such as Porto Latino, a Latin music extravaganza held each year during August. In summer, the narrow streets are filled with lively bars and restaurants, and small boutiques selling hand-made jewellery, paintings local produce, but you can still find a quiet corner to sit and watch the world go by.

The Patrimonio region is famous throughout the island for its excellent local wine, and no visit to Saint Florent would be complete without a visit to the Cave Lazzarini (below left) in the centre of the town. Owned by the same family as the apartment, be sure to drop by and try the variety of wines on offer - especially the Muscat which is possibly the best on the island.

Winter Holidays - For those who like to visit outside of the main season, the apartment has heating making it equally suitable for summer or winter holidays (a small extra charge applies). Outside of the main season, the owner will prepare an open fire to welcome you, and the apartment is fully equipped with television and little added extras that mark the difference between a home and a holiday apartment. Please ask for details.

Linen and a welcome pack is included in the price of the rental.

Comments from previous guests...

'Just to let you know that we had a wonderful time on our first visit to Corsica. The apartment Lazzarini was extremely comfortable and situated in an excellent position in the town. We managed to fit in quite a lot in our 7 days including visits to Nonza, Bastia and L'Ille Rousse. We hope that we shall visit Corsica again.'

'Thank you very much for a lovely holiday!!'
