Situated at the entrance to Calvi opposite the superb sandy beach and just 200m
from a selection of shops and restaurants, Villa Kalliste is a pretty two story villa with private garden.
The villa covers an area of 150m2 and offers four bedrooms each with double
bed and one with single bed. There are four shower rooms and a bathroom, each with a toilet.
Furnished comfortably throughout, there is an open plan kitchen offering a full oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer,
washing machine etc. The living room leads to the main covered terrace and a sun terrace with a southwesterly outlook
where you can relax and soak up the sun. The villa also offers diasbled access and there is the possibility of
a small pool (4m x 3m) from April 2010 - please ask for details at the time of booking.
Sports and activities such as windsurfing, sailing and other watersports, mountain biking are available nearby
as well as walking in the pines backing the beach. Close to both the sea and the mountains, the villa also offers
three parking spaces for guests.
Ideal for 2 or 3 families who want to holiday together, with all the delights and attractions of Calvi within easy
reach. With the station and a range of excursions both by coach and boat as well as walking trails, guests won't
necessarily need to hire a car here unless they want to. Just a few hundred metres away is the Port de Plaisance
(pleasure port) and the pedestrianisted rue Clemenceau where you can find a range of boutiques as well as locally
produced cured meats, cheeses, oils, honey and jams amongst others. If you prefer not to venture out in the evenings,
there is also a traiteur where you can buy pre-cooked local dishes and specialities that you simply heat up at
home.
Approximately 200 metres from Villa Kalliste is the bay of Calvi with its huge sweep of golden sand that stretches
for almost 6km, and shallow clear blue waters that gently lap the shore. Just a little further in the other direction
heading towards the Revellata Peninsula is the quieter Plage de l'Alga. The
Nearby one can visit the picturesque Balagne villages, follow some of the excellent marked walking trails such
as the renowned GR20 at the foot of Monte Grosso or take advantage of the many sports and activities on offer such
as mountain biking, tennis, kayaking, boat trips to the Scandola nature reserve and caves as well as a wide variety
of water sports.
Linen is not included in the cost of the rental but can be provided for
an extra cost.
