Scattered throughout landscaped grounds on a quiet, sunny hillside within walking distance of the bustling little town of Propriano, Chez Guillaume is one of a collection of houses and apartment comprising Les Hameaux de Propriano.

Tastefully decorated throughout in warm, Mediterranean colours, Chez Guillaume is light and airy, and much larger than one would normally expect for a one bedroom apartment. The open plan hallway leads to a well equipped kitchen with oven, two hob rings, fridge-freezer and washing machine. The living room is separated from the kitchen by a breakfast bar, and has been furnished with a comfortable metal action sofabed and a daybed. There is also a dining table and chairs and a large balcony which runs the full width of the apartment, and enjoys lovely views over the town and the bay of Propriano.

With it's flexible sleeping arrangements, Chez Guillaume is equally suitable for a couple or a family of 4 or 5. The spacious double bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space, and boasts French doors giving access onto the balcony. Above the living room is a mezzanine area with a small pull out sofabed which is reached via a narrow staircase leading from the living room. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, and there is an independent toilet.

Les Hameaux de Propriano boasts a tennis court for the use of guests (bring your own equipment), and four swimming pools which are rarely busy as many guests prefer the collection of picturesque sandy beaches and intimate coves surrounding the bay. The main town of Propriano is just a short 15 minute walk away and there you will find a many good restaurants lining the port interspersed with little boutiques and souvenir shops. From the apartment, you can walk to the shallow sandy beach by the lighthouse where there is a beach bar open during the season, and often a game of beach volleyball or football. The Chemin des Plages offers access to quieter coves as well as several broad sweeps of sand and this is just a short drive away or a slightly longer walk.

If you're looking for adventure, the Valinco Gulf is the ideal place to indulge in all sorts of outdoor activities such as walking, horse-riding, tennis, and climbing as well as all the usual watersports; diving, sailing windsurfing and jet-ski. For those who enjoy gentler pursuits, why not go bathing in river rock pools or relax in the hot springs of Caldane or Baracci.

The mountains of Bavella are worth a visit, especially if you are a keen photogragher, and as you pass through the pretty mountain villages, it is worth stopping to try some of the local produce. For those who prefer not to drive, there are also a range of boat and coach excursions that leave from the town, so there really is something for everyone!

Please note that the pool is only guaranteed to be clean and open from 1 June until 30 September.
