Ideally situated at the centre of the Oriental plaine, U Falcone is a
'petite maison de campagne' set in peaceful grounds, just a few minutes drive from the beautiful sandy beaches
of the Costa Serena and the majestic mountains of the Costa Verde.
Known as the Balcons sur la Mer (balconies over the sea), the Costa Verde and the Costa Serena offer the tranquility
of the countryside, the proximity of the sea, some of the longest sandy beaches in Corsica and typical mountain
villages, making U Falcone ideal for those who want to explore, and to experience the rich diversity that Corsica
has to offer.
Comfortable and convivial, U Falcone is situated within the grounds of a large agricultural property of 15 hectares,
with an artificial lake just next to the entrance to the property. Built in 2007, the house has been tastefully
furnished with modern fixtures and fittings of good quality, which offer a nice contrast to the simple, countryside
setting. French doors open onto the living room which has been furnished with a comfortable sofa and a small table
and chairs should you prefer to esacpe the midday heat and eat inside. This room has been separated from the kitchen
by a breakfast bar. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped with everything one could ask such as a large
American style fridge-freezer, gas hob, microwave and numerous kitchen accessories such as cafetiere, citrus fruit
press and toaster. On the ground floor is also a shower room with toilet. Stairs from the living room lead up to
the mezzanine level where there are two single beds
Outside, the terrace has been furnished with a table and chairs so that you can eat al fresco and admire the views
of the sea and the surrounding countryside, and deck chairs if you prefer to simply relax and enjoy the peace and
quiet. The land is also home to donkeys, sheep, cats - you may even be lucky enough to see a wild boar - so here
you can really get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The friendly proprietors live nearby and are on
hand to tell you about the region and help you get as much from your holiday as possible, so the property does
not feel isolated. Of course, if you prefer to relax undisturbed, they won't bother you. On arrival at U Falcone,
you will find lots of useful information about the area, places to visit and even details of local festival and
fayres not to be missed, as well as some local specialities to welcome you to Corsica.
San Giuliano is mid-way between the bustling resort of Moriani Plage to the north, and the ancient town of Aleria
to the south where you can visit the ruins of Alalia, Corsica's oldest city. As well as the more relaxing persuits
such as swimming from the superb sandy beaches or in the fresh mountain rockpools, wine tasting at the vineyards
or visiting the museum at Aleria, San Giuliano and the Costa Verde are the ideal location from which to enjoy a
range of sports and activities such as mountain biking, water sorts, fishing, jet ski, horseriding, hiking. If
you fancy a change of pace, the bustling resort of Moriani plage offers a whole host of shops and restaurants,
and there is also an open air cinema and disco in the summer.
Access to the property is via an unmade road of approximately 1.5km, so please take extra care with hire cars.
