Just 100m above one of the most beautiful beaches of the Valinco with views over the sea, the Maison Cippiniello is one of just a handful of luxury houses dotted amongst the wild flowers on the hillside. Brand new for 2010, the Maison Cippiniello is one of the most unusual properties we featured. Designed to blend seamlessly into the local environment and from above, only the pool and terrace is visible. The house has also been constructed to take full advantage of the sun, so you get light without the heat inside, whilst the terrace is the perfect place to top up your tan on one of the loungers. The large living room offers all the home comforts one would expect such as large comfortable sofas, satellite television with some English channels and a WiFi connection for those who need to stay in touch. The brand new modern kitchen has been fully equipped and offers a full oven and hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and utility area with washing machine and iron/ironing board. There are five bedrooms in total, four with a kingsize bed (180cm), and a children's 'dortoire' with four single beds. The property also offers 4 shower rooms with toilet and a separate guest toilet. Outside, the large pool measures 6x8m and has contra current jets for the more energetic who may want to swim lengths or even indulge in a spot of aqua aerobics! There is a driveway and space to park one or two cars, and plenty of terrace space where you can relax and enjoy the latest bestseller, or just recharge your batteries in the sunshine with a view over the bay towards Propriano opposite. The beaches in this area are some of the most beautiful, and Maison Cippiniello has the added advantage of private access to one of the coves. There are no private beaches in Corsica, but there are a number that are only accessible by sea or by scaling the rocks that border the beach at either end. The beach below the Maison Cippiniello falls into this category. The water here is shallow so is often warm enough to swim earlier and later in the year when other areas are too chilly. Kids will love collecting shells in the tiny rick pools that form, and at the far end of this gorgeous sweep of sand is an unusual archway in the stone that forms an interesting little grotto. However, the Valinco has a lot more to offer visitors than just beautiful beaches. For the more adventurous, there are a whole host of water sports and mountain activities on offer from diving, sailing and boat trips to horse-riding and even parachuting! The picturesque peaks of Les Aiguilles de Bavella (Bavella Needles) are an awe-inspiring area of granite spikes rising high above the ground. A walker's paradise, Bavella is worth a visit just for the scenery and keen photographers will not be disappointed! For those who prefer to take it easy, Propriano's bustling waterfront marina is the ideal place to enjoy refreshing drink in one of the many cafes lining the harbour, or sample some of the fresh fish caught that morning.
