Dominating the town and the beautiful curved bay of Calvi is the stunning
Genoese Citadel. Dating back to the 15th century, this old fortress town is the oldest part of Calvi. Wander the
alleyways and narrow cobbled streets between the ancient vertical houses, and you cannot help but be captivated
by the atmosphere of the Citadel.
Our collection of Citadel apartments are situated close to the famous
Chez Tao, a popular piano bar and restaurant, and the Cathedral Saint Jean Baptiste which stands at the highest
point of the Citadel. From here one can enjoy some of the best views over the Gulf of Calvi, whilst still just
a few minutes' stroll from the bustling town below and the fabulous shallow sandy beach that stretches for over
5km.
There are several different apartments, all of differing sizes and outlooks,
but behind the faded medieval exteriors and sun bleached shutters, they have all been renovated to the highest
standard (hover over the pictures to identify the apartment).
Apartment Maime

A spacious, well equipped kitchen with French doors to a small balcony leads on to the main living area, a beautiful
room with high vaulted ceilings, comfortable, stylish furnishings and French doors giving onto the small balcony
with some of the most amazing views over the bay. In the traditional Corsican style, the other rooms all lead off
this main room. There are two double bedrooms and a twin, together with a bathroom and further shower room each
with toilet.
Apartment Carla

The open plan living/dining room leads on to the well equipped kitchen and balcony with superb sea views across
the bay to the mountains beyond. There are two double bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom and toilet,
making this an ideal apartment for two couples wanting to holiday together.
Apartment l'Eveque
- 1 bedroom, sleeps 2
On the top floor, this apartment enjoys perhaps the most enviable position in the Citadel. The balcony leading
off the comfortable living room is the perfect place to enjoy the breathtaking views and watch the sunset over
the bay. The open plan modern kitchen is well designed and fully equipped. The large double bedroom enjoys views
over the surrounding rooftops, and there is a modern bathroom and toilet.
Apartment Yoann
- 1 bedroom, sleeps 2
This is perhaps the most intriguing of all the apartments. The comfortable living room has been tastefully finished,
and French windows give access to the pretty stone terrace overlooking the cathedral. As with the other apartments,
there is a modern bathroom with toilet, but the most unusual feature is the 'Venetian Bridge' style corridor linking
the bedroom to the rest of the apartment. Unique.
Each apartment has a washing machine, dishwasher and television.
Linen is included in the price of the rental.
