Villa Catherine is a modern villa to rent with private swimming pool
and stunning views situated in the National Parce region of Corsica, approximately midway between the Imperial
City of Ajaccio, and the ancient capital Corte.
Located in the hamlet of Crucoli, just a short stroll from the village of Ucciani, Villa Catherine is the perfect
place to escape the stresses and strains of modern life, and simply enjoy the traditional slow pace of Corsica.
Villa Catherine comprises three bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 people. The house offers a spacious open plan living/dining
room and a well equipped modern kitchen with a full oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee maker, dishwasher,
toaster and kettle. A washing machine is also provided for the convenience of guests. There are two bedrooms with
double beds, one of which is the master room and also offers an ensuite bath/shower room and toilet, and a third
bedroom with twin beds, making Villa Catherine ideal for families as well as couples. There is also an additional
shower room and toilet. The house is air conditioned, and also offers a safe, television and internet access. The
swimming pool is fitted with an alarm for the greater safety of children.
Catherine and her team will be your hosts during your stay in the village making your visit a comfortable and relaxing
experience. A basket of local products is provided on arrival to welcome guests to Villa Catherine.
Ucciani is a typical Corsican village situated in the valley of la Gravona surrounded by mule tracks and rivers.
Here visitors will find a small poste office, restaurants, a butchers and a village shop. The station is only 1km
away and the train journey through the forest of Vizzavona (approximately 30 minutes drive from Ucciani is an experience
not to be missed. A natural spring is located nearby.
Here one can enjoy the true diversity of Corsica; the vibrant city of Ajaccio is only 20 minutes away, where you
can meander through the streets of sun bleached houses, and watch the huge cruise ships as they dock.
Arrivals at the Villa Catherine are flexible, and can be either a Saturday or Sunday subject to availability. If
guests need an extra night at the beginning or end of their stay, it is often possible to be accommodated on a
bed and breakfast basis at Catherine's stone house which is also located in the village. An evening meal can sometimes
be arranged by request if you don't want to venture into Ucciani or cook for yourselves. The village is home to
producers of charcuterie, honey, chestnut flour and cheeses, so there is always something delicious in season.
Catherine's cousin Nathalie can provide vegetables from her garden and there is a bakery just 3km away which makes
for a pleasant countryside walk, or they can deliver fresh bread and pastries.
PLEASE NOTE: Pets are allowed (prior arrangement with the owner), BUT Villa Catherine is a non-smoking property.
