With a balcony overlooking a pretty square and the seventeenth century
Baroque church of Santa Maria, Apartment Casacalvi is a lovely two bedroom apartment of 76m2 in one of Calvi's
original village houses.
In the heart of Calvi and just a short stroll from the superb sandy beach and pleasure port, and 5 minutes from
the port, Casacalvi is particularly suited to a couple or perhaps two couples who want to holiday together, and
have everything close at hand. A comfortable apartment that has been recently refurbished, there is open plan living/dining
area with well equipped kitchen comprising an oven, hob rings, friidge with ice box and a washing machine and tumble
dryer. The living room has been furnished with two comfortable sofas, a table and chairs, television. There are
French windows leading to the narrow balcony which catches the sun in the morning and the afternoon, from which
you can watch the world go by or admire the amazing pink church of Santa Maria at the edge of the square. There
are two bedrooms, each with double bed, and a bathroom with toilet. At 75m2 the apartment is spacious and there
is also double glazing and air conditioning for the added comfort of guests. The air conditioning system can also
be reversed to offer heating for those who may like to visit outside of the main season.
Within easy reach of the station and a range of excursions both by coach and boat as well as walking trails, guests
won't necessarily need to hire a car here unless they want to. Just a few steps from your door is the pedestrianisted
rue Clemenceau where you can find a range of boutiques as well as locally produced cured meats, cheeses, oils,
honey and jams amongst others. If you prefer not to venture out in the evenings, there is also a traiteur where
you can buy pre-cooked local dishes and specialities that you simply heat up at home.
Approximately 100 metres from Apartment Casacalvi is the bay of Calvi with its huge sweep of golden sand that stretches
for almost 6km, and shallow clear blue waters that gently lap the shore. Just a little further in the other direction
heading towards the Revellata Peninsula is the quieter Plage de l'Alga.
Nearby one can visit the picturesque Balagne villages, follow some of the excellent marked walking trails such
as the renowned GR20 at the foot of Monte Grosso or take advantage of the many sports and activities on offer such
as mountain biking, tennis, kayaking, boat trips to the Scandola nature reserve and caves as well as a wide variety
of water sports.
