Just a few minutes from the old Genoese city of Porto-Vecchio and some of the most
beautiful beaches of south Corsica, Casa Aqua is a superb villa set in mature gardens with a large private pool.
The ground floor comprises an entrance hall leading onto the main living areas which are open plan. There is a
large sitting dining room with comfortable seating, satellite television and DVD as well as a stereo/CD player
and fireplace feature. From here large patio doors lead onto the main terrace and the pool beyond. To one end of
the living room is the dining area with table and chairs for 6 people. An archway beyond leads to the American
style kitchen which is fully equipped with a full oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine,
as well as the extras one would expect in a house of this standard such as toaster, cafetiere and a store room
housing the iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner.
Also on the ground floor is the master bedroom which has a kingsize bed (160cm) and private shower room and toilet
arranged in the style of a hammam. For the convenience of guests, there is a further toilet and washbasin on this
level. Stairs lead up to the first floor where there are two further bedrooms; one with double bed and the other
with two single beds. There is also a family bathroom with corner bath and shower attachment over, and two wash/handbasins
and a separate toilet.
The house stands in 1150 square metres of land and the large private pool (8m x 5.5m) is surrounded by trees and
shrubs. The pool is heated from October until May, making it ideal for out of season visits. There is plenty of
terrace space as well as a 'salon de jardin' with grill where you can enjoy barbecues if you don't want to venture
out in the evening.
Should you ever tire of the views, Casa Aqua is just a few minutes drive from the town of Porto Vecchio where you
can wander through the narrow streets and visit the chic boutiques offering the latest fashion, jewellery and local
products. The medieval town of Bonifacio is also well worth a visit and is only about half an hours drive away.
Right at the southern-most tip of the island, here you will find an intriguing mixture of Corsican and Italian
influences which can be attributed to the numerous battles that have raged in the past, and the proximity to neighbouring
Sardinia which is just 12km away by boat. Just outside Bonifacio is the fabulous Sperone Golf Course, designed
by Robert Trent Jones, this is renowned as one of the best course in europe.
However, without doubt, one of the greatest attractions of this area are the beaches which are perhaps some of
the best known on the island. Palombaggia and Santa Giulia are just a few minutes drive away, and the shallow waters
mean that it is normally warm enough to swim earlier and later in the season that in many other areas. |

The owners like to take full advantage of their lovely house during the
summer, so please note that Casa Aqua is only available for bookings from the beginning of October until the end
of May each year.
Please note that the pool is only guaranteed to be clean and open
from the mid-april until the last Sunday in October, although it sometimes open earlier/later depending on the
weather - please ask for details if this is important to you.

'We stayed for a week in mid May 2011. Our first holiday abroad
with children, two and four years old. Beautiful. Perfect! A delightfully furnished gorgeous villa in a small village
[no facilities but everything you need v near]. Very spacious. Plenty of room. Tasteful. Good size pool with great
views and fabulous for barbeques by the pool and trips to the nearby beaches which were so perfect, clear, turquiose,
white sand etc.[as one expects from the Caribbean!] Only 5 minutes drive from the wonderful seaside beaches [Palombaggia,
Santa Guilia, Rondinara etc] and also very close [10 minutes] to Porto Vecchio for meals, cashpoints, supermarkets,
all-important ice creams! . fishmongers, coffees... Christian was polite, informative, sincere and keen to be of
assistance should it be required whilst not being intrusive at all. Lovely big bath for the kids to leap in after
poolside fun, double sinks in bathroom and shower rom. Comprehensive kitchen with coffee maker, dishwasher, washing
machine etc to make the holiday a really delightful stay plus helpful things like a good big flatscreen tv and
dvd player should the family [parents!] wish to flake out on occasion! The island is terrific. Not built up at
all. Fragrant shrubs adorn the place. Blue skies. L'Ospedale nice for a venture up the hills for a look at the
lake, rock climb and a picnic. Bonifacio a good day out for a boat trip, ice cream, glass of rose... We loved it!
Highly recommended. The kids still say they want to go back as do we!'

lovely, with fantastic views and is very well situated just off the main road which gives easy access to everywhere
you'll want to visit. The pool is beautiful and the villa itself is perfect for groups from 2 people to 6 people.
There is also a great restaurant within walking distance, just at the bottom of the road near the roundabout! Recommended
