With superb uninterrupted view over the plain of Aregno and the golf
of Algajola, the Villas Bellucia enjoy a fantastic position overlooking the sea at the edge of the charming village
of Cateri. Nestled between the mountains and yet scarcely 7km from the beautiful beaches of the Balagne, the Villas
Belluccia offer a calm and luxurious setting that exudes an air of nobility.

Here one can can really appreciate the quality, history and traditions of
times gone by whilst appreciating the comforts of modern life. Set in large grounds just a short distance from
the heart of the village, the Villas Belluccia comprise two distinctly separate houses; LAURINA and FLORA separated
by wooden decking which share an infinity swimming pool that seems to plunge to the sea. Olive trees, conifers,
orange and lemon trees shield the houses from view and lend the houses a Tuscan feel. Ideally suited to families
or groups of friends who want to holiday together whilst retaining their own space, the Villas Belluccia combines
modern comforts with a chic bohemian ambiance.
Furnished with hand-crafted furnishings and unusual feature pieces, here one can find an ancient armoire, provencale
shutters, baroque chandaliers, a twisted mirror amongst other curiosities. The combination of exposed stone and
wood, linen fabrics and baked earth tiles lend the houses a mediterranean flavour. Between the sea and the mountains,
modernity and tradition, the Villas Belluccia offer you the rare opportunity to experience the contrasts of this
beautiful island.
The two houses are linked unobtrusively, making the houses equally suited to
larger parties or two families who want to holiday together, whilst retaining a degree of privacy.
VILLA LAURINA
- sleeps 2-7 people
Laurina is the larger of the two houses and is arranged over two floors to take the best advantage of the sunny
position. The villa comprises three bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, a large living room with access to the
main terrace, a well equipped kitchen and a hammam. All the rooms, including the living room and kitchen, enjoy
exceptional views over the plain and the bay. The three bedrooms and living room are also equipped with flat screen
televisions and DVD / music player. A library of DVD's and a selection of music are also available for the added
comfort of guests. The Terrace is part covered by a pergola and has been equipped with sun loungers and a teak
garden table and chairs for eating al fresco. Winter rentals offer a completely different view of the island. Out
of season, Corsica transforms itself, and returns to it's wild, untamed nature. Evenings in front of the stone
fireplace which dominates the living room will be unforgettable.
VILLA FLORA
- sleeps 2-6 people
Slightly smaller than Laurina, Villa Flora also offers three bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom, a large living
room with access to the main terrace, and a well equipped kitchen. The third bedroom is actually independent of
the main house in the style of a separate suite with private entrance. All the rooms, including the living room
and kitchen, enjoy exceptional views over the lain and the bay. The three bedrooms and living room are also equipped
with flat screen televisions and DVD / music player. A library of DVD's and a selection of music are also available
for the added comfort of guests. The Terrace is part covered by a pergola and has been equipped with sun loungers
and a teak garden table and chairs for eating al fresco. Where summer rentals lend an air of 'dolcevita', winter
rentals offers a calm and tranquil view of the island and immersion into a world of traditions. Corsica transforms
itself outside of the main season, and Villa Flora is the perfect place from which nature lovers can discover it.
Cateri, with its cobbled streets and typical granite houses exudes character and charm. With a little shop in the
square and a little post office tucked away in one of the alleyways, life here tends to centre around the restaurant
'Chez Léon' owned by the same family, and renowned throughout the region. |

Try the goats cheese and tomato tartelettes, chestnut blinis, leg of lamb
or the salad of tomatos and gambas - all the products are fresh and local; locally caught fish, brocciu scented
by the maquis, hand made cheeses, locally produced olivi oil. Savour the flavours on the terrace whist you enjoy
the superb views. During July and August, Léon organises Corsican evenings with Jean-Pierre Marcellesi,
the legendary guitarist and singer, famous throughout the island - definitely not to be missed!
Situated in the north west of Corsica, and separated from the rest of the island by a mountain barrier, La Balagne
offers a rich and diverse countryside from the clear turquoise blue waters to the high peaks of Monte Padru, Monte
Grosso and Monte Cinto. The villages perched on the hillsides offer numerous points from which to enjoy panaoramic
views over the sea. Known as the 'Garden of Corsica' the terraces are planted with vines, citrus plantations and
ancient olive trees. The Balagne also offers numerous beaches which are mongst some of the most beautiful on the
island. In the Golf of Calvi, discover the Plage de l'Alga with it's pretty criques where you can often find a
quiet spot to relax undisturbed. The Marine de David between Calvi and Ile Rousse offers holidaymakers three separate
beaches, and Bodri and the Plage de Ghjundiquida offer immaculately white sand.
Linen is included in the price of the rental as well as cleaning once a week and the final clean. |
