Set in mature, landscaped grounds, and surrounded by trees and lawns, Battini is a lovely apartment just a few minutes walk from the picturesque sandy beach and yachting marina at Sant'Ambroggio, midway between the bustling resorts of Calvi and Ile Rousse.

Located on the first floor of a building comprising just four apartments, the apartment has been well equipped and decorated in a traditional comfortable style by the Corsican owner. Steps lead up from the landscaped gardens to the breakfast terrace at the side of the apartment. The door opens onto a small hallway leading onto the galley style kitchen to the left which has been well equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and kettle. A sliding door leads from the kitchen through to the living dining room which has been furnished with a beautiful dining table and chairs and a comfotable sofabed to allow for more flexible sleeping arrangements, as well as a television if you don't fancy venturing out in the evenings. Off this room is an entension to the living room which has been furnished with a day bed and can be seperated by a sliding door to provide sleeping for a third guest. Large patio doors lead onto the balcony/sun terrace which is relatively secluded by the large parasol and catches the morning sun. There is a double bedroom with plenty of cupboard space and a window overlooking the gardens. The family bathroom has been decorated in fresh whites and blues, and there is a separate toilet.

Apartment Battini benefits from lots of nice touches such as the Indian and Moroccan influences in the décor and even a collection of English books to help you while away the time. The thoughtful owner has also provided airconditioning in the living room and bedroom, although the whitewashed walls lend the apartent a fresh feel even during the hot summer months. Barbecues are forbidden in this area, but the owner has kindly provided a hot plate and oven on the breakfast terrace which is ideal for warming croissants or even cooking outdoors.

A relatively new community, a great deal of thought has gone into the development of this area of Sant'Ambroggio to ensure it retains its peaceful ambience, and one of the best features of this property is the sun terrace and balcony where one can sit and relax. Sant'Ambroggio's facilities include an open air, salt-water swimming pool, public tennis courts and a cluster of shops and restaurants including a mini-market, butcher, baker, newsagent, post office, laundrette and even a hairdresser, but it still remains relatively quiet when neighbouring resorts become busy with tourists in the height of summer..

Linen and a starter pack are included in the price of the rental.
