The Hotel les Arbousiers is a small, friendly hotel, close to Calvi.
Furnished in a traditional Corsican style, the hotel offers a peaceful and relaxing retreat, close to both the
superb sandy beach, and the colourful shops and restaurants of this fascinating town.
There is a pleasant, sunny courtyard at the front of the hotel, and a
pretty terrace where one can breakfast and enjoy the view across the bay to the Citadel beyond. All the rooms have
a double bed, and private bathroom with toilet.
In the summer, the les Arbousiers provides a simple, inexpensive base
for those who enjoy the proximity to the beach and all the facilities Calvi has to offer. Spring and autumn are
ideal for walkers and those who like to explore, and the cosy reading room with television is the perfect place
to relax before venturing out for the evening.
Calvi and the surrounding area have a lot to offer, making it idea for a first time visit to the island. The huge
sweep of fine sand stretches for over 5km, and the beach is home to a number of water sports such as sailing, windsurfing
and diving, whilst the mountain backdrop can be explored on foot, horse back or by car. The Citadel which stands
above the town is remarkable and well worth a visit, but there is nothing better that enjoying an aperitif on the
harbour and just watching the world go by!

'Very enjoyable stay in a traditional French/Corsican hotel.
Spotlessly clean, and all staff very friendly and always made to feel welcome. Convenient for beach and town. When
we stayed at the beginning of the season quiet & pleasant ambiance. Delightful floral display around the hotel.
Parking was an excellent feature as we took our own car. Bought an arbousier at a garden centre to remind us of
our stay. Would definately stay again and recommend to others.'

'Our accommodation, the Hotel Les Arbousiers was a gem of a place.
The location is great - just a couple of minutes to the beach and a pleasant stroll into the town centre. Yes,
the rooms are a bit on the small side but they are perfectly adequate and more important the whole hotel is spotlessly
clean. Towels are changed every day and bedding is also changed every other day, sometimes daily. The cleaners
work tirelessly mopping the corridors and vaccuuming the carpets each day, in addition to cleaning the rooms and
ensuring that new arrivals wait the minimum amount of time for their room to be available. As you pull into the
car park. you immediately get a good feeling about the place. There are pretty flowers and shrubs all round and
as you enter the hotel itself you feel as though you are walking into a large Corsican house. The decor and furnishings
are traditional and charming. The rooms price is excellent and you only pay for the breakfasts that you actually
take. So if you need to leave very early in the morning then you do not order breakfast the evening before. If,
sorry, WHEN we return to Calvi, we will definitely stay at Les Arbousiers again.'
'Les Arbousiers is a great hotel to stay in Calvi. It's located
only a few metres from the beach & a short walk from town. It has a good feel to it, it isn't flash or cosmetic.
When you stay there you feel that you are in France, not some antiseptic colourless place without character. It
is of Calvi not just in Calvi. It is a very good value for money. If you visit from the UK, don't book through
brochures, choose a website like Direct Corsica. You will get flights and accomodation at a huge saving. You will
save half the cost that a package operator will charge. We were very happy we booked through Direct Corsica and
flew with Astraeus airline for far less than with BA. Why spend a fortune when you can get the same for half the
price. Spend what you save on eating out - the restaurants in Calvi are great. Take a boat trip or explore the
island. Enjoy and save.'
