In a pleasant residential area just a few hundred metres from the lovely sandy beach and bustling resort of Calvi, Apartment Lantana is an attractive modern apartment which has been thoughtfully equipped and comfortably furnished by the English owner. The main living room is spacious and open plan. The kitchen area has been separated by a breakfast bar, and there is a double sofabed allowing more flexible sleeping arrangements. Large patio doors run the width of this room, giving access to the good-sized terrace which has been equipped with a large table and chairs. From here there are views out over Calvi towards the sea and mountains so what could be better than dining al fresco with a view of the bay.

Leading off the hallway to the rear of the apartment are two bedrooms; a bunk bedded room, ideal for children, and a double bedroom with built in wardrobes. There is a shower room with toilet and a small utility area with washing machine, iron and ironing board. There is also heating for those who prefer to visit out of the main season.

The main town of Calvi is just a short stroll away (although it is uphill on the way back!), and there you will find a good selection of restaurants and boutiques lining the port, and narrow cobbled streets behind. A visit to the 15th century Genoese Citadel is an absolute must for a true feeling of Calvi's origins, and the surrounding mountains add a dramatic backdrop to the stunning stretch of fine golden sand that shelves gently into the calm blue waters.

The town is host to a number of festivals and fairs throughout the year; the Jazz festival in June, The spectacular firework displays for Santa Maria on the 15th August, and the Wind Festival in October to name but a few. In the area you can also enjoy all the usual water sports; windsurfing, diving, sailing and even kitesurfing. The walking is particularly good and the famous GR20 walk across the island starts in nearby Calenzana. You can also try horse-riding, or for a more leisurely pace why not take a train or boat trip.
