Lined with elegant 18th century houses, boutiques and restaurants, Boulevard
Wilson is one of the most popular areas of Calvi. Situated on the first floor of one of these impressive old buildings
is Apartment Acacias. The high ceiling and wide staircase leading from the entrance exude an air of faded grandeur,
whilst inside, the apartment is simply furnished and ideally suited to a couple who want to take advantage of all
the delights Calvi has to offer.
From the landing an original doorway opens on to the open plan living
area with kitchen corner and a table and chairs (no sofa). From this room, French windows lead to the balcony.
Partly screened by the adjacent acacia tree, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view across the Place
Christophe Colomb, to the magnificent Citadel beyond. There is a separate double bedroom, and a shower room with
toilet. Some noise is possible until quite late, although the bedroom does not have a window opening onto the street.
Calvi is a fantastic place to holiday, particularly if you've never been
to Corsica before. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by, which means you can sample some of the excellent
local wines without having to worry about the car in the evenings. The port is just a stones throw away, and in
summer it is lined with colourful bars and restaurants with terraces looking across the bay to the mountains beyond.
Food and drinks do tend to be slightly more expensive here than elsewhere in town, so why not explore the network
of narrow cobbled streets between the two where you'll find a wealth of restaurants and small shops.
The beautiful sandy beach which stretches for nearly 6km, is a short stroll away, and there are plenty of intimate
coves heading out towards the peninsular if you want somewhere quieter. For those who like to explore, there is
a a little train which runs along the coast stopping at all the villages en-route, or you can connect for the service
that runs through the mountains - breath-taking.
The imposing 15th Century Citadel towers above the town, and remains very unspoilt with steep paved roads winding
between high and impressive houses.
Please remember that bed linen and one towel per person is provided,
but you should take your own beach towels and any extra towels you may require.

'My mum and I had such a fab stay at the Aptmt Acacias in Calvi.
The aptmt has such a great location on a street buzzing with life and a lovely view of the mighty citadel just
a stones throw away. We enjoyed spending time sitting on the balcony eating/drinking or just people watching and
the marina, restaurants, bars and beach etc are all within perfect walking distance. We already miss popping next
door for cafe and chocolat chaud or across the road for hot baguette and pain au chocolat!'
'I loved my stay in Corsica. The town of Calvi is fabulous, with
a great beach and lots to see and do. Apartment Acacias is in a great location- although there is a bar nearby
that does sometimes have bands playing until quite late- but you really are in the thick of things. It's a short
stroll to everything you need- shops, bars, beach. We went in the middle of August and saw the fireworks over the
Citadel to mark the fete of the Assumption- well worth seeing! One word of caution- if you get seasick, take plenty
of seasickness tablets before you do any of the boat trips!! Apart from that, just enjoy the sun, sand, sea and
relaxing atmosphere!'
