The purpose of this website is for owners in Corsica to be able to let their property direct to clients, even if they are unable to speak English. Here at directCorsica, as part of the fee the owners pay to advertise on our site, we act as a facilitator, translating the request from English to French for the owner, and the reply from French to English for the clients. We also offer a payment service for some properties (see specific properties pages for details) so that English clients can pay for their holiday in sterling to avoid the charges that would normally be levied for a euro payment through a UK bank. In order to make a booking for accommodation or flights through this website, you must be 18 years or older. For car hire, the minimum age is 21 years. Before booking a property via our website, please make sure you have read 'KNOW BEFORE YOU GO - important information about your holiday' - click HERE. Please note that your property rental contract will be between you and the owner. Should you experience any problems during your stay you should contact the owner of their representative on the telephone number shown on our website - please make a note of this befrore you travel. Where the owner does send detailed directions in advance, we will also send these to you as well as a contact number for the ownr and/or their representative. In the unlikely event of any problem or dispute arising between the client and the owner, either before, during or after the holiday, directCorsica will help to resolve the problem/dispute by translating and passing on your comments to the owner, and translating and passing on their reply to you, but ultimately the responsibility for resolution lies with the property owner and you the client. Where bookings are made directly with the owner or hotelier, directcorsica has no responsibility other than as advertiser of that property. Where payments are made to us on behalf of the owner, we take responsibility for paying the owner the agreed amount. Any 'extras' stipulated at the time of booking i.e. end of stay clean, taxe de sejour etc. must be paid to the owner on arrival in addition to any breakage/security deposit. Once your deposit has been paid, this is non-refundable should you decide to cancel your booking for any reason. The balance will be due 8 weeks prior to departure, and again, once paid is non-refundable. If you are booking within 8 weeks of departure, you will asked to pay the whole amount at the time of booking, which is non-refunadable if you later cancel for any reason. We strongly recommend you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover against cancellation. For properties where we offer a payment service, i.e. where the pyment is made to directCorsica rather than directly to the owner, the deposit will be due at the time of booking and the balance of the rental will be due 8 weeks before arrival at the property/hotel. We will send you a reminder for the balance a few days before it is due and it is your reponsibility to ensure that the payment reaches us on time. If your balance payment becomes more than 2 weeks overdue, please be aware that the owner has the right to cancel the booking and keep the deposit paid. In order to confirm flights, you will be asked for a deposit of £100 per flight, or the whole amount if the booking is made within eight weeks of departure or for any special offer seats costing £149 each or less (these special offer flights are non-refundable should you cancel your booking). Payment should be made by cheque or direct bank transfer. You will be asked to provide a credit card number below which will be held on file as a guarantee against this payment, and in the event that your payment does not arrive within 7 days, the amount due will be deducted from your card along with a 10% service charge. Cancellation charges apply as soon as you confirm that you wish to proceed with the booking and give your credit card details. We will try to answer any queries you
have and give you any extra information you need to make your choice, however once the booking is made, the contract
is established directly between the owner and the clientThis website will permit you to link to other
websites that may have terms and conditions that differ from those specified on this website. Your access to such
websites through links provided on this website is governed by the terms, conditions, notices and policies of use
of those websites, not this one. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have fully read and understood their
